Cost of Living

Tuition, mandatory fees and living expenses vary widely by institution and location. Build a year-by-year budget from each school’s published cost of attendance, adding housing, meals, health insurance, books, local transport, travel and visa-related costs. EducationUSA advises starting financial planning early and comparing financial aid alongside admissions. A scholarship may cover only part of the total cost. Do not assume student work can close a funding gap.

Visa & Immigration

For academic study, an eligible student typically applies for an F visa after acceptance by a Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)-certified school and issuance of Form I-20; vocational study may require an M visa. Follow the U.S. Department of State’s current instructions for the application, fees, documents and interview. Employment is limited by student status and authorization rules; check DHS Study in the States and the school’s international student office before working. Requirements and decisions are case-specific, and Seglas cannot guarantee a visa.

Academic Intakes

Many institutions begin an academic year in late summer or autumn, using semester, quarter or trimester calendars. Some programmes allow spring or other starts. Check the specific school’s course calendar, admission and financial aid deadlines, and the start date on its Form I-20. Allow time for institutional review, funding decisions and visa steps.
