York President’s International Scholarship of Excellence — 2027 Entry

York University offers the President’s International Scholarship of Excellence to incoming international undergraduate students who demonstrate academic strength, leadership, volunteer work and extracurricular involvement. The published award value is CAD 180,000 over four years (CAD 45,000 per year). This is a competitive scholarship, not an automatic tuition waiver.

Who can apply

• International high-school applicants entering the first year of an undergraduate degree at York in fall 2027.
• Applicants subject to international tuition who meet York’s admission requirements and have a final admission average of at least 80% or equivalent.
• Students with evidence of leadership, volunteer work and extracurricular activity who can secure nomination from a school counsellor, principal or senior official.

Application and timing

Apply for undergraduate admission first to receive a York University reference number. Use that number to access the scholarship application when the 2027 cycle is available. York lists 27 January 2027, 11:59 p.m. EST for the student application and 4 February 2027 for nomination and reference submission.
