UM NL Brightlands Talent Scholarship — Master’s 2027/28

Maastricht University offers two full-coverage scholarships for selected non-EU/EEA master’s applicants admitted to participating Brightlands programmes. The 2027/28 cycle covers programmes linked to the Chemelot and Maastricht Health campuses. Recipients undertake a thesis internship linked to a Brightlands company.

Who can apply

• Nationality outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and Surinam, with eligibility for a Dutch visa or residence permit.
• Complete admission to a participating master’s by 10 December 2026.
• Under 36 on 1 September 2027, with strong academic results (latest GPA equivalent to at least 7.5/10) and motivation for the Brightlands campus.

How to apply

1. Apply to a participating Maastricht master’s via Studielink and submit the full admission file by 10 December 2026.
2. Use the UM student number to submit the separate scholarship form with CV, motivation, transcript, financial statement and reference.
3. Complete scholarship submission by 1 February 2027 at 23:59.

Application status: Opens 1 October 2026; full master’s admission file due by 10 December 2026.
