Eligibility: Applicants with qualifying academic preparation in a relevant discipline must meet UBC graduate and departmental requirements, including English-language evidence where applicable. The GRE is not required; two references are listed.
Funding: UBC’s Vancouver PhD minimum funding guarantee is at least CAD 40,000 per year during the first four years for full-time students from September 2026; support may combine awards and assistantships. Tuition and fees still apply.
Application: May 2027 intake opened 1 August 2026. International application deadline 1 October 2026; transcripts and referees due 15 October 2026. The September 2027 intake has not opened yet.
