ANU PhD Scholarship — 2027 Research Entry

The ANU PhD Scholarship is a competitive stipend award offered through ANU Colleges to eligible PhD and professional doctorate by research candidates. ANU lists a full-time base stipend of AUD 40,475 per annum for 2027, with payments over 3.5 years. A stipend alone should not be mistaken for a guarantee that every fee and living cost is covered.

Eligibility

Domestic and international applicants may be considered after applying for an eligible PhD or professional doctorate by research program. The published academic threshold is a first-class honours bachelor’s degree, a research-component master’s degree or equivalent; some Colleges may consider upper second-class honours. International recipients study full time.

Application process

Apply for admission to an eligible ANU research program with complete supporting documents. ANU says eligible candidates are considered automatically for this scholarship and that its application period is open throughout the year. Check College-level assessment and entry timing.
